INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Crews investigated a suspicious white substance found at the Fairbanks Recovery Center.
Indianapolis Fire Department crews were called to the 8100 block of Clearvista Parkway on report of the suspicious substance.
A woman told IFD a white man in a silver car asked her to deliver the envelope. After she brought the white envelope inside, the white substance was noticed.
The envelope was not addressed to a specific person.
There were 68 people in the building at the time of the incident.
Health Department and Haz Mat crews put on their white suits while they investigated.
After a number of tests, officials did not detect anything hazardous in the substance. However, the substance has been sent to the state lab for further testing. Results are expected sometime tomorrow.
Five people - four people in the reception area and one police officer who responded to the scene - were transported to Community North Hospital as a precaution.
While no one came in direct contact with the substance, one woman said she felt ill. Her condition was unknown as of Monday evening.
IMPD will be working to identify the person in the silver car.
