INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police officials believe a man's medical condition led to a crash that injured five people, including a pregnant woman and a child, on Tuesday.
The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 4500 block of Mann Road.
Officials at the scene told 24-Hour News 8 a driver of a TruGreen truck experienced a drop in his blood sugar level, causing him to swerve into oncoming traffic. He struck a Comcast van, an SUV driven by a pregnant woman, 25-year-old Shannon Vaughn, and another vehicle.
A driver of a Ford Five Hundred, identified as 33-year-old Delana Cody, was critically injured and transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital.
One firefighter was treated for injuries at the scene.
