INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Conner Prairie Interactive History Park answered every question you could have about wool during its Shear Fun Fest Saturday morning.
There were sheep shearing demonstrations, spinning, weaving and dying classes – all to unravel the answers about fabrics, fibers and textiles.
Livestock Manager Kevin Miller says knowing the basics are not only important, it can be a lot of fun too.
"We think about sheep having wool. Cotton is a plant that produces fiber. What we wear, what we eat all comes from agriculture, livestock and plants both so we're kind of celebrating that with our fiber fair," Miller said.
Families could even cheer on sheep-herding dogs as they got their sheep moving.
Shear Fun was included in general admission.
