INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The tallest point of the International Orangutan Center was set in place Friday afternoon at the Indianapolis Zoo.
The 25-ton spire is 75-feet tall and is best known as the Beacon of Hope, according to a release from the zoo.
The Beacon of Hope is the part of the new center that will light up at night. The lights will be turned on by the orangutans.
Zoo officials say the center is 150-feet tall, standing 90-feet taller than the top of the dolphin building.
