INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Residents who are looking for ways to help those in need in Boston can now send a text and make a donation.
A text-to-donate short code has been set up to support the One Fund Boston. AT&T customers can text BOSTON to 80108 to donate $10.
The donation will be charged to your monthly AT&T bill.
Patricia Jacobs, President of AT&T New England released the following statement Saturday:
"We are proud to support One Fund Boston through a $1 million dollar donation and by enabling customers to text a contribution from their mobile device. We applaud Mayor Menino and Governor Patrick for their leadership during this difficult time, and are thankful for the brave actions of the members of law enforcement. Boston is a special place, full of history, pride, and remarkable and resilient people. We are honored to be part of the effort to ensure that all the victims of Monday's attack and their families will be cared for."
