INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana State Police are looking for the driver of a motorcycle that was driving with another motorcycle that crashed, killing two people.
Police say two motorcyclists were driving at a high rate of speed early Monday morning on Interstate 74 when one of the motorcyclists lost control and crashed. The driver, Devon Criswell, 41, of Indianapolis, and the passenger, Jacquelynn Lewis, 23, of Indianapolis, were thrown off the bike and were run over by several other motorists.
They were both pronounced dead at the scene. Neither the driver or passenger were wearing helmets and alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver of the second motorcycle did not stop and believed to have exited I-74 at the Post Road exit.
Both lanes of eastbound I-74 were closed for about four hours while the scene was investigated and cleaned.
Anyone with information on the second motorcycle driver is asked to call the Indianapolis State Police Post at 317-899-8577. Anonymous calls with information may be made to Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477.
