SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) - It's another race weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Sunday. Ahead of the race, IMS is hosting events all weekend, starting Friday.
The IMS has hosted the race every year since 2008.
Moto GP bikes hit the road course Friday for practice, qualifying is Saturday and the race itself is Sunday.
This weekend gives fans the opportunity to see the race and take part in the pre-race festivities.
New this year is the Moto Midway.
Activities include rider autographs, a zip line, motorcycle stunting, concessions, corn hole, volleyball, beer pong, an oxygen bar, manufacturer displays and live music.
Younger fans also will enjoy the IMS Kids Zone. Radio Disney and Wish For Our Heroes are providing free games, including military-themed competitions, obstacle courses and face painting.
Security restrictions similar to the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 will be in place.
Cooler size restrictions remain at 18" x 14" x 14", and fans can only bring in one cooler.
Fewer gates will be open this weekend because this crowd isn't as big as the Indianapolis 500 or the Brickyard 400.
Organizers say they don't expect any gate issues.

UPDATE 10:45 P.M.: Many Indiana State Police dispatches were reporting accidents on major roads due to slick weather conditions Sunday night.
With some of the coldest nights of the season on the way, shelters are preparing for a rush of people trying to stay warm.
Christmas is just over two weeks away, but it came early for some very special kids in Hancock County.
