KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) - A popular Kokomo restaurant that had fallen on hard times hopes its appearance on a popular Food Network show provides the necessary ingredients for renewed success.
Ducky's Family Restaurant has been a Kokomo staple for more than half a century. But the Kokomo Tribune reports it has struggled recently.
That's what earned it a spot on "Restaurant Impossible." The show is geared toward saving failing restaurants, and Chef Robert Irvine devotes two days and $10,000 to overhauling menus, pricing, management and decor.
Resident Melissa Gross says a team of volunteers turned out to help with the transformation.
The show is expected to air in August or September.
