ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - The Mayor of Anderson is working to determine the cause of fish deaths.
About ten dead fish were found near the Shadyside bait house.
A resident reported seeing a city employee spraying chemicals in the area. Officials investigated the report and found the person who was spraying chemicals was not an employee of the City of Anderson.
Mayor Kevin S. Smith has asked Water Pollution Control labs to take water samples from Shadyside's aquatic banks. Furthermore, officials have collected and stored dead fish to determine the cause of death.
