ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - If everything goes as planned, a $24 million Ivy Tech Community College could pop up in Anderson in 2015.
The State's Budget committee will need to approve the construction Wednesday, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
The 85,000-square-foot building will sit on land near Interstate 69. It was donated by the city.
The school was first proposed in 2009 for classrooms, labs, faculty offices, a student lounge and library.
Most of the funding, $20 million, would come from the 299 Bonding Authority. The other $4 million was provided by private donations.
The State Budget Committee meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ivy Tech Meridian campus in Indianapolis and live streamed on the committee's webpage.
