INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A State Police officer has been arrested, accused of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old.
A release sent out late Friday night said the original complaint was made anonymously to State Police on August 28. An investigation has been ongoing since then.
Police say Isaac Martinez, a 5 1/2 year member of the State Police, has been arrested as a result of the investigation.
He had been placed on administrative leave with pay on September 23.
A warrant was issued on October 11, alleging Martinez committed two Class B felony violations of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor and one Class C felony violations of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
Police say Martinez's employment status was changed to administrative leave without pay.
Martinez was arrested by Indiana State Police Detectives with assistance from Deputies from the US Marshals Service in Morris, IL shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.
Police say Martinez is currently incarcerated in Grundy County, IL, awaiting extradition to Marion County.
Bond is expected to be set at $30,000.
