INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A person was shot in the face but still alive Monday around noon, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department police dispatchers said.
The shooting happened in the 5600 block of Brendon Way West Drive, at an apartment building near 56th Street and Interstate 465.
Police at the scene told 24-Hour News 8 the victim was a man in his 20s. He was shot in the cheek while other people were in the apartment. Investigators were working to determine who was responsible for the shooting.
The man was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
