FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - Police asked on Tuesday for held identifying a man wanted for an attempted strong arm robbery outside of a Fishers apartment complex.
It happened around 7 a.m. at the Deer Brook Apartment Complex, near Eller Road and Allisonville Road.
Police say a man was walking from his mailbox back to his apartment when he was approached by a man who demanded money. The man told the victim he had a gun but did not show it to him. The victim said he didn't have any money. The suspect patted the victim down and then took off running.
Police set up a perimeter but did not catch him. The victim says the suspect was a white man wearing a dark colored hoodie and pants. Police canceled the perimeter about an hour later although they say officers continued to patrol the area Tuesday morning.
The Allisonville Meadows Senior Living Center, Riverside Elementary and junior high schools were on lockdown for about an hour Tuesday morning. That lockdown was lifted just after 8 a.m.

Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
