HAMILTON CO., Ind. (WISH) - Police officials say a semi overturned on U.S. 31 at 161st Street Tuesday morning, which caused area roads to close.
Crews closed the southbound ramp of U.S. 31 to westbound 161st Street. That road was scheduled to reopen Tuesday evening. 161st Street was closed west of U.S. 31. Officials say the road was not scheduled to reopen until Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say crews were still working to remove the tanker Tuesday afternoon. The tanker was carrying laundry detergent. Those cleanup efforts were expected to be completed just before the road was reopened.
The accident happened around 9 a.m. on a roundabout.
