ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - An English Blue Tick hunting dog was rescued from a 25 foot deep crevice in Ellettsville Sunday morning.
The hunting dog was participating in a field trail competition and followed a raccoon into a crevice. The crevice was located near Red Hill Road in Monroe County. DNR officials say the 25-foot deep hole was less than 2-feet wide.
The dog became stuck inside the small crevice and was unable to free itself.
An Indiana Conservation Officer, Ryan Jahn, was lowered into the hole with rope and successfully freed the dog from the small space.
