MONROE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - A suspect lead officers from Indiana University, Monroe County, and Owen County on a chase through two counties Sunday afternoon.
Officials say and IU police officer attempted to make a traffic stop on Walnut, just off campus Sunday. The suspect refused to stop and lead the officer on a chase.
Monroe County officials were called in to help with the pursuit. Witnesses say the chase went through Bloomington, Ellettsville and Spencer.
The chase lasted about 30 minutes and went into Owen County, where the suspect ultimately crashed his vehicle.
The suspect then got out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers were not able to catch up with the suspect.
Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
