INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Supporters continued pushing for information on the whereabouts of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer Tuesday, which is her 21st birthday.
The primary Twitter account used to spread information about Spierer's disappearance and recovery efforts marked the birthday Tuesday morning and pointed the finger at those who haven't come forward.
"She's 21 today & should be celebrating w/her friends at @IndianaUniv. Even though u weren't directly involved, u've known & remained silent," one tweet said .
Meanwhile supporters tried getting Spierer's name and birthday trending on the social media platform.
Spierer was last seen June 3 after a night out with friends. Her disappearance drew national attention to Bloomington for the student from New York. Friends and strangers turned out in the hundreds in days and weeks following to search the surrounding area without success.
Bloomington Police Department officials say they still get several tips every week, but none have turned up anything. Detectives remain in regular contact with Spierer's parents.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a 3-year-old child was shot in the arm Friday.
Police say a 2-year-old and a 23-year-old Navy sailor from Missouri were killed in a crash on Interstate 64 in southern Indiana near Corydon.
