SPEARSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A house fire spread to the woods and lit up the sky in Spearsville early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just before the sun came up on Unity Church Road, near a cemetery in the area.
Multiple Brown County volunteer fire departments were called in to help put out the fire.
A person who lives near the cemetery told the Brown County Democrat police were on scene and had the area blocked off to traffic for a bit Saturday morning.
Around 8 a.m., firefighters were able to control the fire.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Central Indiana through Friday night. Southern counties will be under a winter storm warning beginning Thursday night through Friday night.
