PENDLETON, Ind. (Herald Bulletin) - Two dogs were killed after a fire that started in a garage spread to a Pendleton home.
The fire happened in the 6800 block of Jackson Street Thursday morning, 24-Hour News 8’s news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
Fire officials say a man parked his car in the garage when he and his family began to smell smoke and called 911.
The garage became fully involved. Fire had spread to the home by the time firefighters arrived.
Two dogs were killed in the fire. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation through it appears to have begun in the engine compartment of the car. Damages are estimated at $150,000.
The Marion County Prosecutor's Office has been busy calculating the costs of the David Bisard trial.
