FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) - Fishers police say one person has died following a motorcycle crash Saturday evening.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. near 96th Street and Fitness Lane.
Officers found the crash involved a Saab passenger car, a Isuzu SUV and a three-wheeled motorcycle.
According to witnesses, it appears the Saab was driving westbound on 96th Street and didn't see the Isuzu stopped waiting to turn southbound onto Pinecreek Drive. The Saab rear-ended the Isuzu, pushing it into the path of the eastbound motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was not able to avoid striking the Isuzu, police say.
Fishers Police Public Information Officer Tom Weger says the two people on a motorcycle were transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital following the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle, 63-year-old Nelson N. Spiegel, succumbed to his injuries early Sunday morning. The passenger of the motorcycle continues to recover. The driver of the Isuzu was treated and released. The driver of the Saab was not injured.
96th Street was closed for three hours while the crash was investigated.
The accident is under investigation.
