PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - The Hendricks County Coroner has confirmed that remains found inside a vehicle pulled from a retention pond Friday are that of missing man Morgan Johnson.
Johnson, who was 27 at the time of his disappearance, was driving a white Pontiac Grand Am. Police officials said the license plates on the recovered car matched Johnson's.
He disappeared in 2011.
The human remains inside the car have been identified as Johnson's, Hendricks County Coroner Joe Neuman confirmed Saturday afternoon following an autopsy.
Johnson's family has been notified.
The positive ID of Johnson was made through dental records. His driver's license was recovered as well.
Johnson's cause of death is still yet to be determined.
