PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Officials say one person is dead and two others have been arrested following a shooting and bank robbery in Plainfield Friday.
Hendricks County officials say the incident began as a bank robbery at the State Bank of Lizton. Police tell 24-Hour News 8 the FBI had the bank under surveillance at the time of the hold up.
A suspicious vehicle was seen on surveillance, which has been determined to be the getaway vehicle in the robbery.
The incident occurred around 11 a.m. near Stanley Road and Walton Drive. A police action shooting involving members of the FBI Safe Street Task Force ensued.
Police say William McKnight, 43, was fatally wounded when he revealed a handgun and refused to comply with verbal comments to disarm, according to a release.
Saturday evening, Demetrius Worley, 24, and Lori A. Armstrong, 44, were in custody at the Hendricks County Jail.
All Plainfield schools were on lockdown for a bit Friday morning.
The Noblesville Police Department says a 16-year-old girl who was shot late Sunday night died from her injuries.
Two men were arrested overnight after police say they stole a car and led officers on a chase.
