INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Officers are investigating after an early morning home invasion on the city’s northeast side.
Police were called to a home on Red Mill Drive shortly before 2 a.m. to the report of a person who had been robbed.
This is in the area of East 38th Street and North Franklin Road.
When officers arrived, a female victim advised she had been robbed by two men who entered her home and took a television set.
According to a police report, the woman said she was asleep when she heard a loud crashing noise at her front door. The woman says a man wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, and what appeared to be a t-shirt wrapped around his face, came up and pointed a gun at her.
Police say another man arrived, also wearing a hoodie, with a shirt wrapped around his face, and pointed his gun at the woman.
She says both men were wearing gloves of some sort.
The woman was then ordered at gun point into her bath tub.
After ransacking the woman’s apartment, the two suspects left, taking her television set, cell phone, lap top and prescription medication.
The woman was not injured in the incident. No arrests have been made.
A winter storm warning is in effect for most of Central Indiana.
It's very rare that a single person can reach across national, racial, and spiritual borders to bring such hope and healing.
Dispatchers with Indiana State Police say a vehicle left the roadway Thursday night off of Interstate 69.
