INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - When a health care opponent got in the face of CongressmanAndré Carson (D) on Tuesday it looked like a spontaneousevent. Now there is evidence that it was planned.
Gerry's View is a web site maintained by GerryMann, the Rotary Club member who confronted Carson during and aftera presentation to the club. On the site, Mann encourages others tolet their voices be heard by contacting their congressmen.
Most of the commentary is directed at President Obama who, inGerry's view, is a dictator responsible for tyranny, a Marxist, acrook and a racist who should be impeached.
Congressman Carson said he was unaware of the writings whenhe was confronted Tuesday.
Meantime, Democratic Congressman Joe Donnelly took themicrophone away from a woman who questioned him at a Delphi townhall meeting Wednesday night.
It may or may not be organized opposition. Either way, thecongressmen must deal with it.
Said Carson, "These things happen. This is what I signed upfor."
An effort to reach Gerry Mann was unsuccessful. He has postednothing on his web site about the Tuesday confrontation.
Congressman Baron Hill has called some health care reformopponents "political terrorists" but he is keeping his promise toconduct public town hall meetings.
