INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Starting last year, the Brickyard 400 has been named after a hero.
This year, the race is named after Samuel Deeds.
Deeds is a marine who earned a purple heart for protecting his men from an "improvised explosive device" in Iraq. Samuel Deeds is also an avid NASCAR fan.
