MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - Ball State University basketball is underway as they hosted the Cardinals Fan Jam Monday night at Worthen Arena.
The stands where packed with fans as they watched an inter-squad scrimmage and three-point contest.
New head coach James Whitford is trying to bring a new culture to Ball State.
"We're gonna be a hard playing team, we're gonna be a team that plays with incredible intensity and if we come out for forty minutes we're leaving everything we have out on the court for forty minutes and that's what I want those fans to see every single time we play,” Whitford said.
"He has us competing every day, practices are so competitive. He wants to show us a coach at where we play hard every day and we compete every day and if a team beats us, they gotta beat us at our best” said senior guard Jesse Berry.
The Cardinals are getting ready to make their first appearance at their exhibition game on Nov. 4 against Marian.
