INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Butler Bulldogs will hold their first official practice for the 2013-2014 season this Saturday at 8 a.m.
This season has many changes for the Bulldogs. As former head coach Brad Stevens moves on to a career in the NBA as head coach of the Boston Celtics, Brandon Miller steps into his new role at Butler.
Senior Erik Fromm commented on the transition.
"He's similar to Brad in a lot of ways, and in a lot of ways, he's not," Fromm said. "At the end of the day, he still carries and represents the program and wants us to represent the program the same way Brad did."
Senior Khyle Marshall agreed.
"I kind of find them very similar," he said. "They both have the same morals, go by the same things I don't know, Brandon's younger, that's one thing I can say about him, definitely has a lot more energy, a lot more spunky."
The Bulldogs are also experiencing an atmosphere on the court without key player Roosevelt Jones, who is out for the season with a wrist injury. The Bulldogs will start their first practice with challenges that they must learn to overcome.
