INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - When the Bulldogs returned to Hinkle Fieldhouse after Mondaynight’s championship game, fans greeted the team with cheers.
The Butler team filed off their bus, grabbed their gear, andheaded into the Fieldhouse just like they would after any othergame.
At 2 a.m., after one of the toughest games of his basketballcareer, star forward Matt Howard was already looking forward togetting back on the court.
"It was pretty exciting just got to get back to work and wantto get back to this point," said Howard.
Matt Howard's father who is a mail carrier said things havenot been the same at work over the past few days because everyonejust wants to talk about his son and his basketball career.
In the dark parking lot outside Hinkle Fieldhouse, Howard'soldest brother took a moment to look back on the Butler season.
"I don't know if it will ever happen again," said Dan Howard.
But Matt Howard is already thinking about next season, sayingthe team needs to get back on the court right away if they want tomake it back to the championship next season.
