BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - The Indiana Hoosiers have made a big roster addition, getting 320-pound lineman Nate Hoff.
Hoff has played on the offensive and defensive lines though coach Kevin Wilson has not said where Hoff will lineup in Bloomington.
He graduated from Solon High School in northeastern Ohio in 2011, then attended Naval Academy Prep School in Rhode Island last year. He was coached at Solon in 2010 by Ryan Stanchek, now a graduate assistant with the Hoosiers.
The 6-foot-2 lineman played in last year's Ohio North-South Classic after recording 24 tackles on defense and 77 pancake blocks on offense.
Hoff wrestled in the heavyweight division and finished fifth in Ohio's 2011 state tournament. He also lettered in track.
Indiana says Hoff bench presses 475 pounds and has squatted 600 pounds.
