INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The University of Louisville basketball player who suffered a hard-to-watch injury during the NCAA Tournament was released from an Indianapolis hospital on Tuesday.
Officials with IU Health Methodist Hospital told 24-Hour News 8 around 12:30 p.m. that Kevin Ware left the hospital.
Ware fractured his right leg after jumping up and landing on it badly during a Midwest Regional game in Indianapolis against Duke .
The hospital on Tuesday tweeted well wishes for Ware, along with a photo of him before he left the facility.
A doctor told 24-Hour News 8 on Monday that Ware's injury is fairly common.
Carmel High School took over the Colts Complex for a night.
Avon Police Department and Avon Community School Corp. are investigating photos sent from female students to male students, police officials said.
