INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Just when it looked like the magic might run out for the Colts, the team overcame a dismal first half to pull out another gritty win.
"It was a great team win again," said Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians. "Like I said earlier, there won't be any blowouts with this team. This team is too young. We just try to figure out a way to win every week and so far we've been able to do that."
"It's a lot of fun to play on this team, just because guys play football," said Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. "No matter what the score, they're out there playing football."
This time, instead of Andrew Luck and the offense driving down for a game winning score, it was two crucial interceptions by the Colts' defense that preserved the win.
"They put us in great positions all year, especially today with the go-ahead score," added Luck. "It's the best team game in the world. You have to rely on so many guys and so many different phases of the game. It's fun when you can get team victories."
"This is a team game. Not every phase is going to be working on four cylinders. It's not always going to be perfect," said Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney. "Our mentality regardless of what the offense is doing is going out there and stopping them. If they are doing a great job, we still have to go out there and stop them."
The team also knows that they'll need a quicker start next week as they take on the AFC South leading Houston Texans.
"That kind of football can get us in trouble," said Colts tight end Dwayne Allen. "Being behind, being that second half team, next week especially against the Texans, they're 11-1 for a reason, so we're going to have to go out there and bring our A game if we want to get the win."
