DETROIT (WISH) - The Colts defense will have their hands full with one of the league's best receivers Sunday in Detroit – Calvin Johnson.
"If you want to go create a receiver on Madden, that's going to look like Calvin Johnson," said Colts cornerback Darius Butler. "He brings everything to the table so we are going to have to bring our ‘A' game."
At 6 feet 5 inches, Johnson is one of the taller receivers in the league, but it's not just his size that makes him ideal. He has just about every quality you look for in a good receiver.
"This guy has got it all and he's got an unbelievable work ethic," said Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians. "I think the most impressive thing for me was watching him block at Georgia Tech. They didn't throw that much and he was a devastating blocker for them. Just watching him grow as a wide receiver now speaks volumes for his work ethic."
"That's one of those guys that you say, well you just try and contain him. You try to stop him but if you can't, just contain him," added Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney. "Obviously, he's used to the attention now, and we are definitely focused on him."
Johnson was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month for November after making 32 receptions for an NFL best 619 yards and three touchdowns in four games.
