INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis restaurant that announced it is closing its doors on Thursday will reportedly be receiving help from Jim Irsay.
The Blue Crew Sports Grill, a popular hang-out for Colts fans, announced they were closing their doors because rent has gotten too high.
Although no official announcement had been made by the team, Irsay tweeted Thursday night that he would help the restaurant with rent:
Randy called me and said."..Got mashed potatoes...can't get no T-Bone!!!.."..so I said we'll float that rent fer a little bit n keep rockin'— Jim Irsay (@JimIrsay) May 2, 2013
24-Hour News 8 spoke with owner Randy Collins on the phone Thursday night. He says he has not officially heard anything from Jim Irsay or the Colts about receiving direct help with the restaurant.
"The Colts organization has been good to us," Collins said.
He hopes to learn more about Irsay's help on Friday.
