CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bears have the 19th overall pick in the NFL draft that begins Thursday night.
There are question marks on both lines, a need for a young linebacker and a hole at receiver even with Brandon Marshall joining the team in free agency.
Options at defensive end could include Alabama's Courtney Upshaw, North Carolina's Quinton Coples and Illinois' Whitney Mercilus.
Bears general manager Phil Emery could go with a linebacker such as Boston College's Luke Kuechly, with Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs in their 30s. If receiver Michael Floyd of Notre Dame is available, the Bears could pick him up to complement Marshall and give quarterback Jay Cutler another weapon.
