INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Colts announced an event this summer called the Colts Back to Football run on WISH-TV Wednesday morning.
The run, presented by IU Health, and sponsored by WISH-TV expects to welcome 2,500 fans on August 24th at Lucas Oil. The run is a 5k (3.1 mile) distance and runners will finish on the 50-yard line.
The event is in conjunction with the Red Cross and is part of the NFL Back to Football Run Series and will include kids' race and a post-race tailgate party.
Runners who register for the Colts Back to Football Run can purchase tickets to the game for $50.
The race takes place prior to the Colts' third preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, set for 7 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The run is part of WISH-TV's Gr8 Health initiative to make Indiana a healthier state.
