INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Danny Granger will miss more than the Indiana Pacers’ home opener; he’ll be out the first three weeks of the season.
The team announced the injury news Monday morning. Granger’s calf injury sustained in a preseason game prompted the missed games.
“The length of time is a precautionary measure as the team wants to ensure Granger is physically ready to play in light of missing all but five games last season due to his knee injury,” the team said in a statement.
The Pacers have their first regular season game on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic.
