INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Several hours before the Indianapolis Colts take on the Cleveland Browns, people around town will have a chance at Gr8 Health.
The inaugural " Back to Football 5K Run" is stepping off at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.
The 5K will go through the streets of Downtown Indianapolis starting at 7:30 a.m. The finish line will be at the 50 yard line of Lucas Oil Stadium. There will also be a kids "PLAY 60" Fun Run.
This event is part of the "NFL Run Series," which began last year in six cities. It has doubled this year to 12 cities, including Indianapolis.
To cheer you on, colts cheerleaders and alumnus Marlin Jackson wil lbe at the event.
WISH-TV is a proud partner of the event along with IU Health. Proceeds from the race will benefit the American Heart Association.
Packet pick-up starts Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. at the Colts Pro Shop inside Lucas Oil Stadium.
You can register Saturday morning before the race at 5:30 a.m. It costs between $20 and $60 to participate in the event.
Free parking is available in the south lot for runners.
