INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Shavonte Zellous had 16 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a 77-70 victory over the Washington Mystics on Friday night.
Briann January had 12 points and Erlana Larkins had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Fever (6-8), who have won five of the last six games.
Ivory Latta had 16 points and Matee Ajavon and Kia Vaughn each had 10 points for the Mystics (8-8), who lost for the first time in three games.
The Fever went on a 8-O run late in the game and went ahead when Larkins made two free throws with 3:03 to play for a 68-66 lead. The Mystics tied the game again before January hit a 3-pointer. Indiana never looked back.
