INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana Pacers guard/forward Paul George signed a multi-year contract extension on Wednesday.
Last season, George averaged 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game to round out his third season in the NBA.
The Pacers picked George as their No. 1 draft pick in the 2010 draft. He was the 10th overall pick.
George was part of the team that went to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. He was named the league's Most Improved Player.
On Tuesday, Indianapolis Police Chief Rick Hite will promote 23 officers. Three sergeants will be elevated to the rank of lieutenant. Twenty patrol officers will be promoted to the rank of sergeant.
