INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A quick look at Father Thomas Scecina Memorial High School’S basketball court might have you seeing double; two of their starting five are fraternal twins: Josh and Zach Rutland.
Whether on the court or in the classroom, the two are rarely apart.
“A lot of times it’s hard to be like ‘well do I want to go shoot shots?’” said Scecina head basketball coach Rob New. “I think the other one always encourages and says, ‘well let’s do this,’ and I think they push each other a lot.”
And while each pushes the other to get better, they also are quick to pick each other up when the other’s down.
“It helps a lot knowing there’s somebody out there with you, telling you that it’s going to be ok,” Josh said.
“And if one of us is down, the other one brings them up. It’s helpful,” Zach added.
The Crusaders also did something only two other teams have down before this year: win sectionals.
