UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WISH) -- Indiana University's all-time leading scorer, Tyra Buss, is heading to camp with the WNBA's Connecticut Sun. The Sun announced Buss has signed a training camp contract with the team.
The IU star led the Hoosiers to a WNIT championship during her senior season in Bloomington.
In addition to being IU's the all-time leading scorer, Buss holds six other program records, including career steals and assists. She was also named All-Big Ten First Team in each of the past three seasons.
"We are happy for Tyra and this opportunity to attend a WNBA training camp," Hoosiers coach Teri Moren said in a statement on the IU athletics website. "I know she has everything it takes to be successful at the next level and we wish her the best as she begins her professional career."
