INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Monday marked another round of NBA draft prospect workouts at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, and once again another local favorite was mixing it up for a shot at being drafted in the NBA.
Rotnei Clarke, Butler's sharpshooter from last season, was on hand taking part in a workout for Coach Frank Vogel and company. After the workout, Clarke said the thought about playing again in Indianapolis is definitely on his mind and that he's confident in what he brings to the table.
"It would be a dream come true. You know, I kind of look at Indianapolis as my home now just because I've been here for two years. And you know, I go back to Arkansas for a little bit but I've been up here for most of the period of time through the summer so, you know it would be a dream come true to make a roster possible and, to be here would be cool. I do believe I have an ability to come in and knock down shots, and do things that a lot of people think I can't. Whether it be for two minutes, one minute, you know being the third guy on the bench cheering on my teammates on...whatever it is, I think I have a role in this league."
Clarke will continue workouts this week in preparation for the June 27 start of the NBA Draft.
