INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - George Hill spent the day on the football field at Warren Central High School, yes, football field. As the face of the Community Health Network, Hill played host to hundreds of Indianapolis youngsters for a sports performance camp.
The IUPUI guard says he loves giving back to kids, and told 24-Hour News 8 he loves what his team added this week, especially David West.
"Well, if you watch the games, you know how important he is to the team," said Hill. "He brings the physicality and presence to our front court and things like that, so happy to have him back. He's one of our big leaders, one of our knockout punch guys, so to have his leadership and his veteran charisma on this team and in the locker room just says a lot."
Hill also loves the addition of his new back-up C.J. Watson and shooter Chris Copleand to the roster.
"Both Watson and Copeland will help us a lot. Watson is a tough defender and solid passer, while Copeland will help stretch the floor. He showed that against us in the playoffs this year. I'm excited with the direction this team is going."
Chicago and Brooklyn will also be a lot better, pushing Indiana for that second spot behind the two-time defending champion Miami Heat.
