INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - It was a special day at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Pacer All-Star Paul George spent some time at the award-winning facility for children Thursday.
Number 24 signed autographs and took pictures with some of the young patients on hand in the cancer unit, before joining Papa John’s in presenting the Riley Foundation a check for $15,000. PG says just spending time with kids in his community means a lot.
“To see the bright, light up, and see the smiles on their faces,” said George. “It's no way that I can't walk in here and feel great about myself, be happy to be here and be a part of this. So they light me up just as much as hopefully I light them up."
George spent the early part of the summer at team USA training camp in Las Vegas where he hopes to make the Olympic team in 2016.
A winter weather advisory was issued for Wayne, Union, Switzerland, Ripley, Ohio, Franklin, Fayette and Dearborn counties on Saturday night.
