INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Let's face it. You can't afford the golden ticket to get into Lucas Oil Stadium for the Super Bowl. With ticket prices starting at $2,000 and rising rapidly from there, you would have to sacrifice your first born to pay your way.
The good news is: everybody who's anybody is coming to Indianapolis for the weekend and, lucky for us, a brush with greatness can be free. So we have the Top 5 Best Places to See Celebrities this weekend in Indianapolis.
1. St. Elmo Steak House
It's the hottest dinner reservation in town. Already, we caught sight of both Tom Brady and Eli Manning taking in a steak and a few shrimp cocktails with their teams. St. Elmo Steak House is the oldest Indianapolis steakhouse in its original location, but good luck getting a reservation. Just walk by and wave at the celebs in the window.
2. Radio Row
For the first time in Super Bowl history, the public will have a behind-the-scenes opportunity to observe some of those Radio Row interviews from a fan gallery at the JW Marriott. Here, 108 radio stations broadcast more than 200 shows all around the world.
Former and current NFL players are regular visitors and so are movie and TV stars out to promote their latest venture. If you want to go.. Go to the NFL Team Shop in the Convention Center between 10am and 6pm for a ticket. Then, just walk over to the J.W. Marriott.
3. Zip Line
The tickets have been sold out for weeks, but if you get to the Zip Line early enough you can stake out a spot – not just for a trip down the line – but also for celebrity sightings. The Zip Line has become one of the hottest adventures in Super Bowl Village and celebrities are taking their turn, too. Jimmy Fallon spoke to 24 Hour News 8 after his zip down Capitol Street downtown. You can watch his interview here .
4. Hilbert Circle Theatre
Home of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Hilbert Circle Theatre is also playing host to Jimmy Fallon for a 4-show stint in the Hoosier state. Just like a typical show, Fallon hosts big name guests, which is a big time score for celebrity watchers. The spokesperson for the Orchestra tells us the doors open for tapings at 3:45pm to allow ticket-holders into the theatre. The show tapings begin at 5:30 p.m. So, her suggestion is to be around the theatre between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to see celebrities arriving for the show.
5. Pan Am Plaza
What's a major sporting event without ESPN? The sports network will broadcast tv and radio shows throughout the weekend from Pan Am Plaza downtown. You can expect a who's who of current and former players as guests. or a long list of who ESPN will host, click here!
