JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (INDOT) - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors are planning to shift traffic lanes tonight on northbound I-69 near Exit 205. This work was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed because of weather forecasts.
Milestone Contractors, the state's contractor for the $18 million interchange improvement project, plans to shift two northbound I-69 traffic lanes to the right between 116th Street and State Road 37 beginning at 8 p.m. The shift, which will allow contractors more room for work in the median, requires alternating lane restrictions to modify lane markings. The right lane of northbound I-69 is expected to be restricted from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The restriction will switch to the left lane from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
