HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. (INDOT) - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to restrict traffic lanes at various locations along the U.S. 31 Hamilton County corridor this week:
Between 146th Street and the Monon Trail overpass
Wednesday, June 5:
The two right lanes of northbound U.S. 31 will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The two right lanes of southbound U.S. 31 will be restricted from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, June 6:
The two left lanes of northbound U.S. 31 will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., when the center lane will open.
The two right lanes of southbound U.S. 31 will be restricted from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., when the center lane will open.
Friday, June 7:
The left lanes of northbound and southbound U.S. 31 will remain restricted until 7 p.m.
Approaching 161st Street
Motorists should expect lane restrictions near 161st Street Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as crews install deck pans and overhangs on the new bridge over U.S. 31. Traffic in both directions will be restricted to a single lane during the overnight hours.151st Street and Thatcher Lane
Also on Thursday night, flaggers will direct traffic at the intersection of 151st Street and Thatcher Lane, just east of U.S. 31, as crews install a water main. This operation will begin after 9 p.m. and is expected to end before 6 a.m. Friday.
