Scattered storms continue, hot temps returning soon

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Upper 70s and rain for the next couple of days which will give way to near 90° temperatures next week.

TONIGHT: Overcast skies will remain in place over night into tomorrow. Low is 66° with a marginal severe threat over the southwest portion of the state extending from Lafayette to Columbus. The main concern with this threat is damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Scattered showers will continue over night.

TOMORROW: Scattered showers throughout the day with mainly overcast skies. High of 80°. There is a marginal severe threat for a smaller area over southeast Indiana. The main concern with this threat is gusty winds.  In addition, heavy rainfall is possible with these slow moving storms.

By tomorrow night, the rain chances will decrease with the low dropping to the mid 60s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies return with isolated shower chances. Highs in the upper 70s with the best chances of rain in the later morning and late afternoon hours. Drier conditions for the evening and night with a low of 66°.

8-DAY FORECAST: Isolated storms on Sunday into nicer conditions for the beginning of the work week. Mid to upper 80s on Monday and Tuesday with partly conditions. 90° weather and isolated storm chances return starting Wednesday and will stick around for the rest of the week.
