BEECH GROVE, Ind. (WISH) - Police say one person was taken in for questioning Tuesday afternoon after a stabbing was reported near Beech Grove High School.
Police dispatchers said three students were involved. Officials say two people were taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. in the 5300 block of East Hornet Avenue, just south of school grounds.
In a release, Beech Grove City Schools said administration was notified just after 3 p.m. that two male high school students walking together got into an altercation with another male student as they were walking between campus and the nearby Burger King restaurant. One male defended himself with a knife injuring the two other men.
One student was taken to police headquarters. He was interviewed by police and released to his parents. Police say the prosecutor's office will determine whether or not charges will be filed.
School officials say there was no threat to the school.
The school says all evening activities were schedule to go on as planned.
