BMV to close 8 branches for October due to staffing issues

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will leave eight branches closed in October due to staffing issues.

The BMV announced that these branches will be closed from Oct. 4-30:

• Plymouth.
• West Lafayette.
• Indianapolis-North Meridian.
• Indianapolis-Midtown.
• Tipton.
• Brazil.
• Danville.
• New Albany.

People can go online to see branch hours and find out adjustments made at local branches.

Employees at these locations will be sent to other locations for the month.

Previously, 11 branches were shut down for September.

Officials say there has been an increase in job applicants over the last 30 days.
